Your privacy choice

When you first visit, a notice at the bottom of the page lets you Accept or Reject. You can change your choice at any time using Cookie settings in the footer.

  • Accept: visit statistics are stored with your full IP address, and Google AdSense may show personalized ads.
  • Reject: your IP address is masked in our visit records (the last part is replaced with zero), so we can still count the visit and see the approximate country and city without keeping your exact address. Only non-personalized ads are requested.

Your choice is remembered in a cookie named cd_consent for about 180 days.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, this site records standard request data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, referring site, approximate location derived from the IP address, and timestamps. This is used for security, troubleshooting, and understanding overall traffic. The site uses WP Statistics for visit counts and Wordfence for security monitoring. Wordfence and the web server may keep request logs including IP addresses for security purposes even if you choose Reject, because they are needed to block abuse.

Cookies and local storage

The site may set cookies for basic functionality, comments, your privacy choice, and advertising. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work as expected.

Advertising

This site uses Google AdSense to show ads. Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com) or at aboutads.info. Online tools

Most tools under the Tools section run entirely in your browser and do not send what you type anywhere. A few tools need a server or third party service to work, and the input you provide is sent to that service only to produce your result:

  • IP Address Lookup sends the IP address you enter (or your own) to ipgeolocation.io through this site’s server.
  • DNS Records Lookup sends the domain you enter to HackerTarget.
  • Ping and Port Scanner and SSL Certificate Checker connect from this site’s server to the public host you enter. Private and internal addresses are blocked, and requests are rate limited.
  • URL Scanner submits the URL you enter to VirusTotal, which may retain it as part of its own database.
  • Password Strength Checker checks breaches using the Have I Been Pwned range API. Only the first five characters of a SHA-1 hash are sent, never your password.
  • Known Hash Lookup sends the hash you enter to the CIRCL hashlookup service through this site’s server.

Please do not enter secrets, passwords, or confidential information into tools that contact third party services.

Comments and contact

If you leave a comment or use the contact form, the name, email address, and message you provide are stored so the site owner can respond. Contact details are not sold or shared for marketing.

Who is responsible for your data

Why data is used

Visit information is used to keep the site secure, fix problems, and understand which content is useful. Advertising data is used to show ads and, if you accept, to make them more relevant. Comment and contact details are used to publish your comment or answer your message.

How long data is kept

Visit statistics are kept in aggregated and masked form. Security logs are kept only as long as needed to detect and block abuse. Comments and contact messages are kept until you ask for them to be deleted or they are no longer needed.

Where data is processed

The site is served through Cloudflare and hosted on Oracle Cloud infrastructure. Advertising is provided by Google. These providers may process data in countries other than your own, under their own privacy terms.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13, and personal data from children is not knowingly collected.

Third party links

The site links to external websites. Their privacy practices are their own, so review their policies before sharing information.

Your choices

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data associated with your comments or contact messages by using the contact page. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR, the UK GDPR, and the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law, including the right to object to processing and to complain to your local data protection authority.
